Jacob R. McComber

About

Attorney Jacob R. McComber is a dedicated family law attorney at Ryder & Phelps, specializing in divorce, child custody, and support arrangements.

Prior to joining Ryder & Phelps, Jacob served as an associate at a boutique family law firm where he represented clients in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire Probate and Family Courts. He also worked as a litigation associate at an insurance defense firm in Boston. There, he assisted with complex construction, insurance defense, and employment matters. During law school, Jacob also gained valuable experience as a 3:03 Student Attorney with the Mental Health Legal Advisors Committee Family Law Project, assisting indigent clients, performing client intake interviews, and advocating in Probate and Family Court.

Jacob earned his Juris Doctor from New England Law | Boston, where he was a Dean’s list honoree and a recipient of the Justice Sandra Day O’Connor Scholarship. His academic studies included concentrations in Litigation and Family Law. Jacob additionally holds a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality, Sport, and Tourism Management from Troy University, with a concentration in Sports Management and a minor in Global General Business.

If not at the office, Jacob can be found spending time outdoors either golfing or hiking. Jacob is also an avid sports fan and loves cheering on his Washington D.C.based sports teams.
